My Story...like, all of it

Born and raised just outside of New Orleans, Louisiana, I grew up always wanting to be an actor. I could be found beyond my locked bedroom door learning the choreography to the High School Musical numbers and singing like the little diva I was [am?]. I spent years watching movie musicals thinking I'd need to wait to someday be cast in a movie to be able to sing and act and dance, and when I reached freshman year of high school I finally found what I was looking for: theatre.
I remember nearly chickening out of the audition. I think a lot about the gumption it took to audition there; I'm so glad I did. I was in nearly 20 shows throughout high school. I rose from being clueless, afraid, but enthusiastic to president of our troupe, directing and choreographing before my time was done. I graduated high school and decided that I'd pursue a BFA in Theatre and had never felt so aligned with myself and my dreams. I attended and graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with my BFA in Acting and began performing professionally during summers.
Immediately following graduation I moved to Charleston, South Carolina on a contract to be a Resident Actor for Charleston Stage's 45th and 46th seasons. There I affirmed my passion for education, teaching k-12 Acting and Musical Theatre classes, and serving as choreographer for student shows such as Finding Nemo Kids and Seussical Jr. I performed in 15 full length productions in rep, ranging from TYA productions to MainStage musicals and plays. I had my first emergency understudy cover for a sold out weekend of The Addams Family where I learned the Gomez track in an afternoon and performed that evening, armed with a script and enough adrenaline to run through a brick wall. Top 5 moment. I also choreographed my first professional TYA production here. Charleston holds many fond memories.
After my time with Charleston Stage, I relocated back home to New Orleans, welcomed a sister-in-law and beautiful nephew to our family, and enjoyed reconnecting with old friends and my home theatre community. I dipped into my survival-jobs bag and gained new skills as a Genius Bar technician at Apple, began teaching dance classes with Louisiana Academy of Performing Arts. Oh--and I DJ-ed karaoke!
With plans to relocate in the Summer of 2026 and continue building relationships in the industry, I so look forward to what the future holds!
